The Nigerian Dental Association is the professional body of all Dental Practitioners in Nigeria. The Association has noticed with utter consternation, the mindless killings of innocent #ENDSARS Protesters and the wanton destruction of properties by unidentified armed men, all in an attempt to frustrate the legitimate demand for improved standard of living. As a Professional Association, we stand in solidarity with all well meaning Nigerians in demand for improved quality life in our Country.
Our Nation, Nigeria has huge potential for greatness and the Youths are demanding the giant in her to wake up to assure them of brighter and prosperous future. The NDA condemns the lawlessness and repressive tactics of armed men, reported as law enforcement agents and demand that perpetrators be brought to justice.
The Association also urges the Government of the day, to show inclusive leadership by deploying more civilized ways of interfacing with the #ENDSARS Protesters to stem the ugly trend.
While we commiserate with fellow citizens who have been directly or indirectly affected by this unfortunate development, we urge all members to stay safe and continue to pray for our nation; Nigeria.
We will be monitoring the situation closely, with the aim of taking decisions in the best interest of everyone.
